15-Jan-2025A web page is a website document or interface accessible in a World Wide Web space. The site is used through a browser using a specific address, the Uniform Resource Locator (URL). A web page is a document authored in web technologies such as Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and JavaScript and can contain any form of media, including textual, photographic, audio-video, hypertext links, and others.
For instance, an organization's ‘Contact Us’ page includes web information such as phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and forms filled by visitors.
Web pages can be also of two types: those that do not change and provide the same content for all the users, and those that are interactively created, changing as the user interacts with them, for instance by providing the results of a search or offering recommendations. Consequently, web pages constitute a framework that shapes website configuration and defines the usage of the Internet as a source of information.
